Greetings my Unconventional Amigos!!! Generally you can’t seal a Mylar bag with a food saver because the sealing area prevents air from being sucked out of the bag. I had the idea of using a piece of a standard food saver bag to provide an air channel and and using the food saver to provide a temporary seal, long enough so I could hit it with the iron. It works well. I hope this helps my friends here on you tube.

I want to vacuum seal some marijuana in 2 vacuum sealer bags…Im just wondering if theres any smell that would go through. I dont think any smell should get through because its air tight and double vacuum bagged. Please correct me if im wrong though? I’ll appreciate any opinion. Thank you
Im from jamaica.
They are called "space bags" I believe and you vacuum out the air to save space…have you tried these and if so- what was you experience?? Was it a good purchase?
can anyone recommend a reliable household vacuum sealer suitable for a very very small scale startup business packaging something very similar to beef jerky?
Reliability is a must as I live 9 months of the year on a small island in the philippines, where i intend to use this sealer on a daily basis. I am also trying to keep initial cost price as low as feasibly possible cos i dont even know if this business will work or not.
As for availability, i am in Denmark for next 11 weeks, after that will be in pines. also have family in SA and UK if good products are available there.
Thanks in advance ![]()

this guy vacuumed sealed about 5 ounces of pot very very tight in a quality vacuum sealer. when he gave it to me i opened everything and weighed it to be only 4 ounces. It was in the vac for about a day and he is telling me that because it was airtight and very dry inside the vac seal that it lost that much "water weight" or something. I have never heard of this happening…
I’ve just purchased a vacuum sealer, as I am going on a hike and need to keep all my dehydrated food dry before I need it on the walk, but because all my food is dehydrated (eg. mince beef, fruit, veggies) it is quite sharp and poking holes through my vacuum bags?
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on where I can get stronger bags that are not too bulky? (Using boxes is not an option as it will be too hard to carry with me while hiking)
Note: I have tried putting paper towel, baking paper and also aluminum foil inside the bags before sealing and still holes form from the pressure of sucking the air out.
Does this really work? Or is it just cheap?
Does this really make things last 5 times longer?
Saw this product online, currently using a vacuum sealer for food storage, but keep getting holes in the bags, maybe this is the answer? Any Suggestions as it seems to only be in the US at the moment?
