Hehe, funny question…Yes, they can, depending on the breed (a blood hound almost surely, a shih-tzu maybe not enough to pay attention). They can definitely smell it less than when out in the open and hopefully not enough to obsess with it.
Absolutely dogs can smell thru a vacuum sealed bag. Think of the drug dogs and….. they did a test of hematically sealed bags of whatever that meat was placed next to then removed. The dogs still found those bags first!
I would think so. Have ever seen a drug/explosives dog at work. It’s amazing what they can sniff out.
